Lucao color (つゆくさいろ) is a bright light blue, Named after the dewgrass flower that blooms in the early morning. Dewgrass is an annual herb belonging to the European plant family. It grows in clusters along roadsides and in streams across Japan. Because it is dyed by rubbing the juice of flowers and leaves on the cloth. Therefore, in ancient times it was called "chukicao", "moongrass", and "duckhead grass". During the Manyo period, it was printed with Suri dye. Furthermore, since it is easily bleached, It is still used for pattern dyeing in "Yuzen Monori".
